Information checked: 29 September 2026. Timetables, prices and rules can change — see the official sources below.

In short

  • Line ferries run daily

Laziomar connects Formia with Ponza and Ventotene all year.

  • Tours run on set dates

Direct mini-cruises from Formia are scheduled only on some days.

  • Book ahead in summer

Especially weekends, small groups and Palmarola trips.

Options

Ferry, fast boat or mini-cruise

The ferry is slowest and can carry vehicles on eligible sailings. The fast boat (aliscafo) carries passengers only and is quicker. A mini-cruise or boat tour includes a trip around the island, swim stops and time ashore.

Many visitors take the line ferry to Ponza and join a local boat tour there. Check the real departure port before booking.
